As photographers we are constantly trying to follow a set of rules. While 90% of the time I follow them sometimes it’s nice to break them. The big one is having a clutter free frame, nothing distracting in the photo that will take away from your subject. With a toddler, this can be hard. I will clean and clean and she will make things messy. That’s life and sometimes it’s nice to just embrace it. This is what our dining room looks like on a daily bases. The day’s mail on the table, my current craft project out and I won’t lie I haven’t put away the decorations from Adalyn’s birthday yet. This is reality and I think it’s important to document it every once and while. And to share it so everyone knows our houses aren’t perfect even if they look so in photos. 🙂
Davina - I love it! I think reality can also get you some great compositions with a lot of interest and story telling, just like you did here!
Laurie - I love it! Much like my house the majority of the time. 🙂
Yazmin - This is what my house looks like in my photos all the time. I have a 2 year old, so if I waited to have a clean house before shooting, I’d never get any photos in!
